What is eCitizen?

This is platform that serves as a centralized hub for all government-related matters. The eCitizen website revolutionizes the accessibility of information and government services for individuals across the country, accessible with just a simple click.

With this portal, services have become not only more accessible but also remarkably faster. The days of navigating crowded government offices in search of public services are now a thing of the past. As long as you have an internet-enabled phone and a connection, you can effortlessly access over 10 different government services from the comfort of your own home.

Even Kenyans living abroad can take advantage of the eCitizen portal to access services and relevant information, as well as reach out to public offices when necessary.

Services offered

The Kenyan eCitizen portal offers a wide range of services. To register for an account, all you need is your ID number and first name. Once you have successfully created your account, you can access the following services:

• Business name search and registration

• Registration for and issuance of marriage certification

• Provisional and actual driving license

• Renewal of driving license

• Land searches

• Land rent clearance certificates

• Application for passports – adult & children

• Application for Kenyan Visa
